Many walks start directly from Oz Station; suitable for families, those seeking solitude and lovers of flora and fauna. Enjoy the peace, wander through the fields, get back in shape with an invigorating hike or just take a stroll, it’s up to you!

 

Walks around the resort

7 circuits from Oz station, 45 minutes to 4 hours for all types of walkers. Forest tracks and trails lead you to traditional villages, forest views and waterfalls. These circuits are marked and maintained to be accessible to everyone, regular walkers and nature lovers:

N°1 - Circuit du Pré de la Pierre (Circuit of the Stone Field)

N°2 - Circuit de la source ferrugineuse (Circuit of the Iron Spring)

N°3 - Circuit de la Cascade (Circuit of the Waterfall)

N°4 - Circuit du Faubourg (Circuit of Faubourg)

N°5 - Circuit du Bessey par Plan du Cerf (Circuit of Bessey via Red Deer plain)

N°6 - Circuit des cerfs (Circuit of the Red Deer)

N°7 - Circuit des sangliers (Circuit of the Wild Boar)

Hikes at altitude

The Poutran and Alpette gondolas are open in the summer allow you to access the high mountains in a few minutes. There you can follow the paths and discover the beauty of high altitude landscapes, wild animals and rare plants in the glacial lakes.

Some highlights:

  • - At 2100m: lake Noir, lake Besson, lake Faucille, lake Carrelet, lake Lamat
    - At 2700m: lake Blanc, lake du Milieu, lake de la Fare
    - At 3300m: Pic Blanc with a dramatic panoramic view over the mountains, to Italy and the Massif Central.

The OBP Map Vallée de l’Eau d’Olle n° 2, marks the various footpaths to take, a compliment to the IGN Top25 – 3335 ET Le Bourg d’Oisans, l’Alpe d’Huez.
