Oz is an ideal base camp for exploring by bike the six valleys of the Oisans region, the panoramic roads and the mythical passes lost in the clouds. Oisans counts many tremendous mountain roads leading to typical villages and mountain passes. Around Lake Verney in the valley, up to the Glandon and Croix de Fer mountain passes, you will find your paradise on Oz' roads.

How it works:
Each route (up to the mountain passes, resorts or perched villages for example) has Timtoo Timing terminals located at the start and the finish that are triggered by microchips identifying each cyclist.

 

Instruction for use:
1. Rent (or buy) a microchip from the tourist office or an approved distributer (a full list is available below).
2. Activate the microchip and attach it to your clothing or your bike.
3. Cycle your chosen route, making sure you pass in front of the ‘Start’ and ‘Finish’ flags
4. I can look up my time on this site (updated hourly) by selecting your route(s).

 

Microchip rental: €3€/day (+ deposit)
Microchip purchase: €26.50 € (+ 1€ for the battery). This microchip is valid 1 year.

The microchip is valid for all Timtoo Timing routes in France, Italy and Switzerland. A complete list of the routes is available on this site.

The Oz Ascent (La Montée d'Oz)

Every week in July and August, take part in The Oz Ascent, a timed ascent between Allemont at 720 m of altitude and Oz Station at 1350 m of altitude. Everyone at its own pace can race against the clock, in a friendly atmosphere.

Every Thursday at 10am.
