Night Snowshoe Hike with Dinner in an Igloo

Enjoy a unique mountain experience with a guided night snowshoe hike leading to an authentic igloo beneath the stars.

By headlamp light, the outing begins with an easy walk to the igloo, where participants are welcomed with an aperitif. Settled into this warm and unusual shelter, decorated with cosy blankets, guests enjoy a traditional Savoyard fondue in a friendly and timeless atmosphere.

The route follows the pedestrian path towards the Col de Poutran before turning towards the Crête de la Sure. Educational commentary is provided along the way to help participants discover the mountain environment, its nocturnal atmosphere and the Alpe d’Huez resort.

After dessert, a moment of relaxation is offered before snowshoeing back. Weather permitting, an introduction to night sky observation is proposed around the igloo, including star identification and a discovery of the universe.
