Ice climbing

At first glance, ice climbing seems a bit mad! And yet it’s an accessible activity that you can try at Oz 3300!

Experience the thrills

of ice climbing

On exceptional natural routes such as the La Fare waterfall or the Symphonie d’Automne, try your hand at ice climbing . Tackling a waterfall is an adventure that’s accessible even to beginners, provided they’re supervised by a professional. Right from the approach walk, you’ll discover the fleeting world of ice. Properly kitted out with a helmet, harness, belay system and crampon-compatible boots……you’ll be ready to scale these monumental ice formations using ice axes and crampons. Usually quite inaccessible, ice climbing is now an activity open to everyone, guaranteeing a unique experience. ‘Symphonie d’Automne’, a beautiful 70-metre icefall, is the perfect route for beginners looking to tackle a single-pitch or multi-pitch climb. As for the descent, abseiling at sunset is a moment not to be missed

Just a stone’s throw away

from the waterfalls

Easily accessible via the Alpette and Poutran cable cars, you can reach a spot featuring incredible waterfalls with picturesque names: Mur d’Ice Bill, Scotch on the Rock, Roudoudou, Chacal Bondissant and Symphonie d’Automne, amongst others. In the shadow of the Pic de l’Étendard stands a monumental sculpture, the Cascade de la Fare – a fleeting treasure to be discovered during the winter months!
