Eau d'Olle Express gondola lift

Leisure, Tourist transport, Ski lifts in Allemond

  • This project will help to develop soft mobility in the mountains and to enjoy the beauty of the landscape right from the valley.
Skiing, hiking or mountain biking on one of the largest ski areas in the Alps from the bottom of the valley: a godsend for holidaymakers.

  • Skiers, hikers and mountain bikers from Grenoble or Lyon will be able to park 10 km upstream and climb to the foot of the slopes at Oz in 8 minutes instead of 20 without having to chain up!

In 45 minutes from Grenoble or 1h30 from Lyon, you're in Allemond. The road ends here to join Espace Alpe d'Huez. The "ascenseur valléen" (valley elevator) takes you to the end of the journey, to Oz-en-Oisans and then Alpe d'Huez or Vaujany.

A RESPONSE TO A CONCERN FOR SOFT MOBILITY
Reducing traffic on mountain roads, sometimes complicated by snow, is a concern for local officials and mountain lovers alike.

By providing a fast, safe and environmentally-friendly link between the valley and the high-altitude resorts, the Eau d'Olle Express is a concrete way of encouraging changes in travel practices aimed at achieving a zero-carbon mountain.

Add to this a bus link from Grenoble station to Allemond at weekends and during school vacations, and a free shuttle between Bourg-d'Oisans and Allemond for holidaymakers and residents of the plain, and the cars stay in the parking lot!

A PANORAMIC TOUR OF THE EAU D'OLLE VALLEY
Forget the stress of winding mountain roads, the ski slopes and hiking trails of Epace Alpe d'Huez have never been so close.
Settle into one of the 10-seater cabins, comfortably seated to enjoy the view of Lac du Verney and the Belledonne massif. It's the perfect way to start your day on the slopes, already relaxed and ready to hit the slopes.
