Situated in the heart of the village in a traditional Oisans house, the hall hosts exhibitions and talks on a variety of topics: local history, the environment, exploring the Oisans region, art exhibitions…
Situated in the heart of the Eau d’Olle Valley, Oz 3300 lies at altitudes ranging from 800 to 1,350 metres between Belledonne and the Grandes Rousses.Since the 1980s, archaeological surveys have been carried out in the Rousses massif to locate, date and analyse activity at ancient mining sites. Among the sites discovered are lead, copper and silver mines that were worked from prehistory right up to modern times. The remains of a major mining operation were identified some twenty years ago above Lac du Milieu. The disappearance of the ice and snowfields that had blocked access to the sites has made it possible to study them. This exhibition invites you to discover the results of this research.
