La Mad’Oz, a brand-new red-level enduro trail linking the Col de Poutran to the start of the Jeux sector on L’Alpe d’Huez at the resort of Oz: 4.5 km of pure enjoyment in a rocky, wooded setting right beside the Roubier torrent. This enduro trail, ideal for intermediate to expert mountain bikers, is over 4.5 km long. Starting from the Col de Poutran, the route runs alongside the Roubier stream, featuring sections over rock slabs, passing through woodland and skirting the lake above the resort of Oz. This previously unexplored setting will make this route one of the area’s future ‘gems’. An absolute must-try!

With its highly technical course, this internationally recognised downhill run – regarded as one of the very best – demands constant focus. Sections over stone slabs followed by forest terrain are succeeded by a series of banked bends, stream crossings on a gradient averaging 40 per cent and exceeding 65 per cent in places. Experienced mountain bikers can test their skills against the greatest national and international champions, who race down the track in under 3 minutes!
